National Law University Delhi is going to conduct AILET 2020 Counselling and AILET 2020 Seat Allotment process on the fourth week of May (Tentatively). The will be organized through offline mode. which means aspirants will have to be present physically to participate in counselling. After the Result declaration, the qualified candidates will be called for the AILET counselling 2020 Process.

The AILET counselling is conducted separately for BA LLB (Hons), LLM and PhD. Candidates whose names are present in AILET 2020 merit list need to pay counselling fee if they want to lock a seat for admission in any law course offered at NLU Delhi. Selection of seats for the Under Graduate and Postgraduate course in all the participating Institutions is based on merit and performance of the candidate in AILET 2020 Entrance Examination. Seat Allotment


AILET 2020 seat allotment process will start from the fourth week of May (Tentatively) in online mode. The counselling and seat allotment of AILET 2020 will be based on students merit, preference of choices and availability of seats. before we talk about the AILET 2020 Seat Matrix. let’s have a look at AILET 2020 seat allotment Process.

AILET 2020 Counselling Process


Step-1: Applicant needs to click on the pdf file of the shortlisted candidates on the official portal of AILET 2020.
Step-2: Aspirants whose name appear in the merit list released will be issued call letters for participation.
Step-3: After receiving the call letters, candidates need to visit the venue mentioned and remit the AILET counselling 2020 fees by the last date mentioned.
Step-4: After completion of the first slot, the university will release another list of qualified candidates for spot counselling only if seats will remain vacant.
Step-5: The spot counselling will be started in September 2020 (expected). It will be the last round of the admission process.
Step-6: Spot Counselling only valid for those applicants whose name is in the waiting list category. Selected candidates have to deposit their admission fee before the due date to confirm their seats.

Documents Required


Candidates must bring the documents listed below in Original and along with one set of photocopies for verification during admission. Candidates must carry those document we have mentioned given below to complete the enrolment formalities at the time of counselling Procedure of AILET Counselling Documents for B.A. LL.B. (Hons.)/ LLM/ PhD Programs.

  • AILET 2020 Admit Card
  • AILET Call Letter issued by NLU Delhi
  • AILET 2020 Scorecard
  • A valid Research Proposal (for the PhD program)
  • Self -Attested Character Certificate from the school last attended
  • Self -Attested 10th and 12th Class Certificate and mark sheets
  • Self- Attested BA LLB mark sheet (for LLM and PhD programs)
  • Self- Attested LLM mark sheets (for PhD Program)
  • Caste Certificate signed by the concerned authority
  • Bank Demand Draft drew in favour of “The Registrar, National Law University Delhi” that is payable at New Delhi
  • Self -Attested Transfer Certificate
  • Six Passport size photographs

Cut Off


All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2020 cut-off will be Mention after the declaration of results. Seat Matrix


Below we have mentioned the AILET seat matrix for LLB and LLM courses. The Total Seats 80 seats [70 Seats on merit through All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) and 10 Seats for direct admission to Foreign Nationals on merit (5 seats for Foreign Nationals and 5 seats for OCI/PIO)]. Foreign Nationals are exempted from AILET 2020 exam.

  1. Hi i have been short listed for AILET first councelling 115 rank GEN category. total called in general category is 150. Can someone please guide about process of councelling. Is councelling done specialsation wise. What is possible specialisation at this rank in general category
