Admission Details

The admission to various programmes of the Assam University Silchar (AUS) is strictly on entrance exams and on merit basis. 

Course	Admission details
B.Tech	Admission to undergraduate programs of the Assam University Silchar (AUS) is based strictly on the merit of the candidate as inferred from their performance in JEE-Mains For 75% of the students, admission is done through JEE Mains, rest 25% is done through entrance exam conducted by the college.
B.tech (Lateral Entry)	Admission is based on the entrance exam conducted by the University followed by Personal Interview.
BA-LLB	Admission is done based on the qualifying exam conducted by the college followed by the interview.
MBA	Candidate with valid CAT score. Candidates not having Cat score have to appear for Written skill Assessment test( WRAT)conducted by the Management Department.
M.Tech	Candidate with valid GATE Score is considered for admission.
PhD	All students seeking admission shall have to possess requisite marks in GATE/ UGC-NET/ CSIR-NET

Eligibility Criteria

B.Tech	Candidates must have passed (10+2) in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with at least 60% marks.
B.Tech (Lateral Entry)	For lateral entry 3 year Diploma in Engineering and technology is required. Age of candidates applying to lateral entry should not be more than 25 years.
B.Pharm	Candidates must have passed (10+2) in science stream from a recognized board CBSE or equivalent.
BA-LLB	Candidates must have passed (10+2) with minimum of 50% marks and English as one of the subjects from a recognized board CBSE or equivalent.
MBA	Graduation in any discipline with minimum 60% marks. Candidates need to have a valid CAT score or give WRAT Conducted by the college
M.tech	B.Tech or A.M.I.E degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering/ Computer Science & Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ Information Technology/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering from a recognised institute with at least 60% marks in aggregate.
PhD	Candidates should have done Master’s degree in specialized domains with 55% minimum marks.
