The idea was to provide an efficient system of technical education in the state of Bihar. Earlier, the college had an affiliation under Tilkamanjhi Bhagalpur University (TMBU) Bhagalpur, BIHAR, which was later passed to Aryabhatta Knowledge University (AKU), Patna.
