CAT Exam Centre 2019: Check the Exam Centres in 156 Cities of India

Hello Aspirants, The management entrance exam released the list of CAT 2019 exam centres. Candidates will have to select four exam centre of CAT 2019 while filling the CAT Registration Form. Aspirants will have to select four cities where they can appear for CAT 2019 Entrance examination at the time of filling the application form. Aspirants are advised to select the examination Centre according to their preference because Once the application form is submitted after that aspirants cannot change their examination centre in any circumstances. So the candidates are advised to fill the examination centre carefully.

In this year the exam centres of CAT 2019 are located in 156 cities at more than 400 exam centres across the country. As compared to the previous year, the exam cities have been increased from 147 to 156 cities. It is the prerogative of the IIM concerned to either increase or decreases the exam centres of CAT, depending on the total number of applicants.

CAT 2019 Exam Centre

This Year the CAT Exam will be Conducted in 156 Cities. Before we Speak about all the common admission test 2019 exam centre lets have a look at the exam schedule of CAT 2019.

CAT 2019 Important Dates

According to the Schedule, The registration has been started from 8 August 2019 and the registration will be Closed on Last week of September 2019. The CAT 2019 Examination will be held on 24 November 2019. The complete Schedule is Given Below.

Instructions for Exam Centers

  • First of all, Download the Admit Card (How to Download Admit Card Click Here)
  • Candidates can choose 4 preferred exam centres while filling the CAT Application Form.
  • Candidates must have they admit cards along with a photograph same as the one uploaded in the application form affixed to it.
  • An original valid ID proof– Aadhar Card, Passport, Driving License, PAN Card, Voter ID, College ID, Employer ID, or Identification Affidavit is to be presented at the gates of the exam centres.
  • No item other than admit card and ID proof is allowed inside the exam centres.
  • Candidates will be asked to remove their footwear before entering the examination hall.
  • Jewellery, watches, electronic gadgets like mobile phones, calculators, etc. or any other metal item are not allowed inside the exam centres.
  • Under no circumstances will the allotted exam centre be changed.
  • Every year new exam centres are added to the list. The same is expected for this year as well.
  • Candidates are advised to choose exam centres closer to their city of residence.

Reporting time for Exam Centers

  • Two sessions of the exam are conducted at each centre- forenoon and afternoon.
  • Forenoon session is from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Reporting time for the forenoon session is 7:30 AM.
  • The afternoon session is from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Reporting time for the afternoon session is 1:00 PM.
  • Entry in the exam centres will end at- 8:45 AM for the forenoon session/2:15 PM for the afternoon session

The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2019 will be a computer-based test held in India. The questions will be in mix set multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and non- MCQ’s format.

CAT 2019 Basic Guidelines

  • Total No. of Questions: 100
  • Number of sections: 3
  • Questions with negative marking (MCQs): 75
  • Questions without negative marking (Non-MCQs): 25
  • Score awarded for each correct answer: 3 marks
  • Negative marking Applicable for  wrong answers in MCQs: -1 mark

IIMs reserve the right to change or cancel any test centre/city or change the test time and date at their own discretion. This year, IIMs Kozhikode will be conducted in test centres spread across around 156 test cities. Aspirants will be given the option to select any four test cities in order of their preference. Delhi NCR Candidates

The candidates from these cities in Delhi NCR have only one choice of test centre – Delhi NCR because all the test cities are combined as single test city by CAT convening IIMs Kozhikode. According to the Sources the 10 important cities in Delhi NCR, were the CAT exam was conducted past many years, are no longer CAT 2019 exam centres. All the CAT test cities in Delhi NCR are now known as a single test city – Delhi NCR. Here We have mentioned all the test centres in Delhi NCR.
