The students who failed in Class 10 and 12 board exams conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) have demanded to cancel the compartment exams due to the on-going Corona Virus Pandemic.
Even the dates of the exams have not been announced yet and the students are already opposing the conduct. The CBSE has stated that they will conduct the exams once the situation becomes favourable and while consulting it with the government.

Many students claimed that they just failed by 2-4 marks in a subject and now they are appealing the board to cancel their compartment examinations and pass them with grace marking so that they can make their way towards the college admissions.
Meanwhile, a PIL has also been filed before the Supreme Court regarding compartment exams. Advocate Shakti Pandey has said, “My prayer before the apex court seeks to either cancel exams or provisionally pass students so that they can apply for further studies, and conduct the exam later when the pandemic is over”. He also added in his statement, “If the examinations are conducted during the pandemic, students’ lives will be at risk, and if exams are postponed then one year of the students will get wasted”.
In the tweet a student has posted the PIL to Supreme Court against CBSE for compartment exams cancellation.
Even the Supreme Court on Friday has questioned the CBSE board to “appropriately” consider representations of petitioners seeking cancellation of Class 10 and Class 12 compartment examinations. Now it is yet to be seen whether the board will conduct the compartment examinations or pass students with grace marks.
