Admission Procedure

College of Nursing at Army Hospital Research and Referral Delhi will accept self-attested xerox copies of document papers submitted by students. If the candidate is unable to submit the requisite documents by the required date, her admission will automatically stand canceled.


  • An Online Admission Test (OAT) for admission to the B.Sc. Nursing Course 2020-21 of Army College of Nursing (ACN) Jalandhar Cantt & AIN Guwahati.
  • Candidates who want to take admission to ACN Jalandhar Cantt can visit the college website and fill the form Online.
  • OAT roll numbers will be uploaded on ACN, Jalandhar Cantt website for registration of those candidates only who have paid the ‘Online’ Application Fee.
  • Candidates should ensure their eligibility for the B Sc Nursing course before filling in their Online application forms. Ineligible candidates may forfeit the Application fee.

Documents to be Submitted on Admission

The following certificates will be submitted by the candidate at the time of
(a) Original/provisional degree and statement of marks of qualifying examination and other higher examination passed by the candidates.
(b) Character / Conduct Certificate issued by a Gazetted Officer / Head of the Institution last attended.
(c) Migration Certificate from the university from which the candidate has passed her last examination.
(d) Domicile Certificate.
(e) Physical Fitness Certificate by Medical Officer / Regimental Medical Officer of Military Hospital /Regiment or Registered Medical Practicenor from civil.

Selection Procedure

(a) The admission will be strictly on merit ranking, based on marks obtained in OAT.
(b) The merit list will be prepared based on the aggregate marks obtained by the candidates in the OAT. The decision of management regarding the preparation of the merit list will be final and no arbitration in this matter will be accepted.
(c) In case of vacant seats due to certain candidates declining to join/not joining on the due date, the vacancy so created will be offered to the candidate next in merit and so on.
(d) Medical Fitness Certificate of the applicants will be checked and medical tests will be conducted at MH Jalandhar Cantt. Unfit candidates will not be allowed to join the college

Eligibility Criteria

 AgeThe Candidate should have completed the age of 17 years on or before 31st December 2018. The Candidates completing the age of  17 years on 1st January 2019 or later will not be eligible. The upper age is 30 years as on 31/12/2018 further provided that this upper age limit is relaxed by a period of five years for the candidates belonging to SC/ ST.
Qualifying ExaminationA Candidate seeking admission from a recognized school, with 50% or more marks in the aggregate of 4 subjects including English (Core /Elective), Physics, Chemistry, and Biology provided the student has passed in each subject separately.
Basic of SelectionThe selection of the candidates for admission to (Hons.) Nursing Courses will be made on the basis of the merit have to appear for the Entrance Exam.
Entrance TestThe Entrance Test will be held on as per the venue indicated in the Admission ticket. The Entrance Test will contain objective type (Multiple Choice) items.
Medical FitnessA Candidate must be medically fit the course.
