Eligibility Criteria

Diploma In Pharmacy1) Candidates must have passed (10+2) or equivalent board from a recognized university.
2) Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks.
Under Graduate In B.Pharm.1) Candidates must have passed their 12th from a recognized university with physics, chemistry & Mathematics/Biology as compulsory subjects.
2) Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks.
Post Graduate In M.Pharm1) Candidates must have passed their B.Pharm from a recognized university.
2) Candidates must have secured a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) in B.Pharm.

Admission Process

Courses Admission Process
Diploma In Pharmacy1) Most institutes offer this course according to performance in the related entrance exam, often followed by a round of personal interview, wherein their general aptitude for the course is tested. D.Pharma. Admission Process generally varies across colleges.
2) A few institutes also provide direct admission based on the candidate’s performance at the 10+2 level.  
Under Graduate In B.Pharm.  1) For admission to the Pharmacy courses, the student must have passed class 12th with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics/Biology.
2) Students have to secure a min of 50% marks in the qualifying examination.
3) Students, those pass the 3-year (D. Pharm) are also eligible.  
Post Graduate In M.Pharm1) The admission process may vary from institute to institute.
2) Most of the colleges or Institutions intake students on the basis of marks scored in GPAT.
3) After that, they have to undergo vigorous counselling and personal interview.
4) Some of the colleges select students on the basis of merit i.e, the marks obtained in one’s bachelor’s degree in the same field. 5) Colleges also conduct their private entrance exams for the admissions.

Courses in Pharmacy

1) Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm)

It is a 2-year diploma course in Pharmacy. The admission process to take admission into D.Pharm is differ from State to State but the basic eligibility criteria is 10th with Physics, Chemistry & Math/Biology as a mandatory subject.

Diploma Graduates can take admission into 2nd year of Bachelor of Pharmacy program (Lateral Entry).

2) Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm)

It is a 4-year undergraduate course in Pharmacy. The basic eligibility criteria is 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Math/Biology as a mandatory subject. After Successful completion of B.Pharm, graduates have various career opportunities in government sector as well as private sector.

B.Pharm graduates can take admission into M.Pharm for their further studies in Pharmacy.

3) Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm)

2) Research & Development

Most of the M.Pharm Graduates have to take lectures during their degree. You can also work in the research department while pursuing your master. After B.Pharm you can also get lecturer jobs in D.Pharm colleges.

The average salary is around 10k to 20k. Also, this job is quite relaxing compared to others in pharmacy. If you are good at subjects and love to teach others, this job is for you.
