Indian Institute of Information Technology Ranchi is one of the engineering institutes located in the Ranchi, Jharkhand. It is also known as IIIT Ranchi and it was established in the year 2016. IIIT Ranchi was set up by the MHRD, the Government of India, and the Government of Jharkhand. Indian Institute of Information Technology Ranchi is an autonomous institute set up by the MoE, Government of India, and Government of Jharkhand along with the industry partners Tata Motors, TCS and CCL in a Public-Private Partnership.
IIIT Ranchi is offering two Under Graduate Programmes, B. Tech (Honours) Computer Science and Engineering and B. Tech (Honours) Electronics and Communications Engineering. The first academic session of IIIT Ranchi started in July 2016 with an intake of 30 in both B. Tech CSE and B. Tech ECE. NIT Jamshedpur is the mentor Institute of IIIT Ranchi.
The IIIT Ranchi is funded by the Government of India (50%), the Government of Jharkhand (35%) and Industry Partners (15%). The IIIT Ranchi is expected to meet operating expenses from tuition fees, grants, sponsorships and donations. Additionally, the Government of Jharkhand has lent support to the institute by granting land for setting up the Campus at Ranchi, Jharkhand. IIIT Ranchi is an autonomous, not-for-profit, self-sustaining, teaching and research-led education Institution.

Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST candidates the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination.
Basic of Selection
The Candidate should be an Indian National. The students can get admission in B. tech by appearing in JEE Mains entrance exam which will be conducted by NTA this year onwards and qualifying examination from a recognized university or board.
