IISER Aptitude Test Seat Matrix: Indian Institutes of Space Education and Research (IISER) has the authority to manage and regulate the IISER Aptitude Test 2020 seat Allotment for those candidates who are going to apply through SCB channel, KVPY channel and JEE Advanced channel. IISER Aptitude Test seat matrix 2020 and seat allotment process will be starts from the 22 June 2020 in online mode. The counselling and seat allotment of IAT 2020 will be based on students merit, preference of choices and availability of seats. before we talk about IISER Aptitude Test seat Matrix 2020. let’s have a look at IISER 2020 seat allotment Process.

Seat Allotment process

IISER Aptitude Test Seat Allotment process will be commenced after the declaration of IISER Aptitude Test 2020 results. The aspirants have to follow these steps at the time of choice filling and locking:

Step-1: Online Application

  • First, you have to Visit the official website of IISER Aptitude Test 2020
  • then Click ‘Registration link and fill required details.
  • Fill all the details carefully before click on the submit button.
  • Make the payment for counselling Fee through challan, debit card or credit card.

Step-2: Choice Filling

  • Log in to your account and mark options of colleges and Fill your college as per your choice and preference.
  • Choose your college carefully and according to your merit.
  • The choices made by the candidate will not be changed in any circumstances once it’s submitted.

Step 3 – Seat Allotment/Allocation Process

  • IISER Aptitude Test Seat Allotment 2020 is completely based on the merit and the choices made by aspirants in IISER Aptitude Test 2020.
  • The Counselling process will be conducted in multiple rounds and thus, seat allotment is carried out in each round.
  • Once the allotted seat is rejected, aspirants will be allowed to participate in the other rounds of the counselling.

Step-4: Seat Allocation Fee Payment: 

To confirm the seat, candidates will have to pay the fees through secure payment gateway on our application portal.

  1. The seat acceptance fee for General and OBC-NC is Rs. 2000
  2. Aspirants who belong to Kashmiri Migrants, Physically Challenged and SC/ST categories will have to pay Rs. 1000.
  3. the foreign candidates will have to pay 100 US Dollar

Step-5: Document Verification:

  • The aspirants will have to go through the document verification process at the help centres.
  • Report at the allotted centre for document verification by the officials and reserve a seat.

Step-6: Reporting at the Allotted college/Institute: 

After the document verification is done, aspirants will have to report at the allotted institute/College and pay the balance fees in the institute, and then confirm the admission.

Documents Required

Candidates must bring the documents listed below in Original and along with one set of photocopies for verification during admission. Candidates must also submit one Attested copy set of following documents during counselling.

  • Admit card of JEE Advanced, KVPY and IISER
  • Counselling Letter
  • Scorecard of JEE Advanced, KVPY and IISER
  • Class 10th mark sheet and certificates
  • Demand Draft
  • Class 12th mark sheet and certificates
  • Passport size photograph
  • Category certificate

Q. What are the channels available for admission to IISERs?

A. There are three channels available for admission into IISERs:
KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana)
IIT-JEE (Advanced)
SCB (State and Central Boards).

Q. Who awards the BS-MS degree?

A. Each IISER is an autonomous institution. Therefore, the degree award by individual IISERs.

Q. I am an OCI/PIO cardholder. Should I apply as a foreign candidate?

A. No. You should apply through our regular application portal. International students are those candidates who are NOT citizens of India by birth or naturalized and do not belong to PIO/OCI category, and whose parents are not citizens of India and do not come under PIO/OCI category at the time of applying.

Q. Are there seats for foreign candidates other than PIO/OCI cardholders?

A. Yes. Foreign candidates can apply only through the JEE-Advanced channel. The top 10000 rank holders (including the foreigners) in the CRL of IIT JEE (Advanced) become eligible for admission to the BS/BS-MS programme of IISERs. Application of a foreign candidate through any channel other than JEE-Advanced will reject.

Q. Do I need to apply separately for each channel?

A. Yes. Applicants are required first to do the registration on the application portal. Then, this registration account could use to Fill the application form(s) of any of the three channels. Each channel requires a separate online application and payment of application fee. The applicant must check the eligibility criteria for each channel through which they wish to apply.

Q. Do I have to write the IISER aptitude test?

A. Yes, only if you are applying through the SCB channel.

Q. What will be the mode of the exam?

A. The mode of IISER 2020 is a computer-based (online).

Q. In which language will test conduct?

A. The IISER 2020 question paper will be available in Hindi & English languages. Candidates will be able to choose as per their preference.

Q. What is the Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF)?

A. If you have allotted to one of the IISERs, you need to pay the Seat Acceptance Fee (within the due date) through the counselling portal to accept the offer and confirm that you intend to join one of the IISERs. The Seat Acceptance Fee amounts to Rs. 35,000/- (Rs.25000/- + Rs. 10000/- (Non refundable administrative fee)) for General/EWS/OBC-NCL categories and Rs.22500 (Rs.12,500/- + Rs. 10000/- (Non refundable administrative fee)) for SC/ST/PwD/KM categories. Failure to deposit the SAF within the stipulated time will result in the cancellation of the offer. Furthermore, you will not consider in any subsequent rounds of seat allotment during admission 2020. Once you register in your allotted IISER, this amount will adjust against your first-semester fee.

Q. I will be waiting for my 12th result in 2020. Am I eligible for an exam?

A. Yes, you will be eligible to apply for IISER 2020.

  1. I have scored 429 marks through CBSE . Cut-off for IAT 2019 is 431 marks.will I be able to get any seat in the next allocation rounds?
