JEE Main Exam Pattern 2021 [New Update]

  • As per the newest JEE Main 2021 exam pattern, paper one will have 90 questions, 25 per from Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. Applicants have to attempt only 75 questions.
  • Every subject will have 20 MCQs and ten numerical questions. 5 out of 10 numerical questions are optional, and the numerical questions don’t have negative marking.
  • JEE Main 2021 for paper 1 (B.Tech) will be conducted for 300 marks, while paper 2 (B.Arch/B.Plan) will be shown clearly for 400 characters each, and now, JEE Main 2021 will be held in 13 languages.

Exam Pattern

The engineering entrance exam will be conducted in two modes – Offline mode, i.e. pen-paper based test and Online mode, i.e. computer-based test. Aspirants appearing for JEE Mains can take the exam either in online mode or offline mode for B.E/B.Tech, but for Paper 2, they can only appear in pen-paper based test mode.

Marking SchemeMarking Scheme for Drawing Test – Two questions are evaluated out of 100 marks. Method of resolving ties Tie between candidates obtaining equal Total NTA scores in Paper1: B.E./B.Tech will be resolved in the following descending order:§  NTA score in Mathematics, followed by§  NTA score in Physics, followed by§  NTA score in Chemistry, followed by§ Candidates having a lesser ratio of negative to positive responses.

Paper 2 (B.Arch) Exam Pattern

Paper 2 A (B. Arch): Mathematics (Part-I) and Aptitude Test (Part-II) in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode only and Drawing Test (Part-III) in Pen & Paper Based (offline) mode, to be attempted on drawing sheet of A4 size.
