JEE Main 2020 Seat Matrix: Hello, Aspirants as we all know that this year The National Testing Agency will be conducting the JEE Main 2020 in Computer Based Test mode at different centres located in many cities throughout the country and abroad from 01st-06th September 2020 And After the JEE Main 2020 examination qualified candidates are called for the counselling process.

The JEE main Counselling 2020 will be conducted by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JOSAA). The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has the authority to manage and regulate the JEE main 2020 seat Allotment for admissions in more than 100 institutes for the academic year 2020-21.

The JoSAA will display the first round seat matrix for JEE Main 2020 on 1st week of July 2020(Expected). throughout the article, we will discuss the JEE Main 2020 seat Matrix and the complete process of seat Allotment for JEE main 2020.

During the seat allotment process, the seat allocation authority will first allot the seats in two mock rounds. These two mock rounds will help the aspirants to know the seats, they could be allotted on the basis of their choices filling in JEE Main. After the mock rounds of allotment are over, the seven other rounds of seat allotment will be conducted for aspirants by Joint Seat Allocation Authority.

JEE Main 2020 counselling and seat allotment process will be starts from the 3rd week of September 2020 (Tentatively) in online mode. The counselling and seat allotment of JEE Main 2020 will be based on students merit, preference of choices and availability of seats. before we talk about JEE main 2020 seat Matrix. let’s have a look at JEE Main 2020 seat allotment Process.

Seat Allotment process

JEE Main Seat Allotment process will be commenced after the declaration of JEE Main 2020 results. The aspirants have to follow these steps at the time of choice filling and locking:

Step-1: Online Application

  • First, you have to visit the official website of JoSAA
  • then Click ‘Registration link and fill required details.
  • Fill all the details carefully before click on the submit button.
  • Make the payment for counselling Fee through challan, debit card or credit card.

Step-2: Choice Filling

  • Log in to your account and mark options of colleges and Fill your college as per your choice and preference.
  • Choose your college carefully and according to your merit.
  • The choices made by the candidate will not be changed in any circumstances once its submitted.

Step 3 – Seat Allotment/Allocation Process

  • JEE Main 2020 Seat Allotment is completely based on the merit and the choices made by aspirants in JoSAA and CSAB.
  • The Counselling process will be conducted in multiple rounds and thus, seat allotment is carried out in each round.
  • Once the allotted seat is rejected, aspirants will be allowed to participate in the other rounds of the counselling.
  • After the JoSAA seat allotment, CSAB counselling process will take place

Step-4: Seat Allocation Fee Payment:

To confirm the seat, candidates will have to pay the fees through SBI Net Banking or e-Challan.

  1. The seat acceptance fee (SAF) for all the aspirants except SC/ ST/ SC-PwD/ ST-PWD/ GEN-PwD/ OBC-NCL-PwD is Rs 45,000.
  2. Aspirants who belong to SC/ ST/ SC-PwD/ ST-PwD/ GEN-PwD/ OBC-NCL-PwD categories will have to pay Rs. 20,000 as SAF.

Step-5: Document Verification:

  • The aspirants will have to go through the document verification process at the help centres.
  • Report at the allotted centre for document verification by the officials and reserve a seat.

Step-6: Reporting at the Allotted college/Institute:

After the document verification is done, aspirants will have to report at the allotted institute/College and pay the balance fees in the institute, and then confirm the admission.

Candidates must bring the documents listed below in Original for verification during admission and candidates must submit one Attested copy set of following documents during counselling.

  • 3 passport size photographs
  • JEE Main Admit Card
  • JEE Main Rank Card
  • Date of Birth proof
  • Class 10thmarksheet
  • Class 12thmarksheet
  • Migration Certificate
  • Caste Certificate
  • Character certificate issued by the high school
  • Copy of Confirmation Page
  • Provisional JoSAA seat allotment letter

  1. Through JoSAA can we fill choices for home state government colleges like college of engineering and technology, Bhubaneswar or any colleges except NITs,IITs,IIITs and GFTIs?
