Seat Matrix

JEE Mains Seat Allotment process will be commenced after the declaration of JEE Mains 2021 results. The aspirants have to follow these steps at the time of choice filling and locking:

Step-1: Online Application

  • First, you have to visit the official website of JoSAA
  • then Click ‘Registration link and fill required details.
  • Fill all the details carefully before click on the submit button.
  • Make the payment for counselling Fee through challan, debit card or credit card.

Step-2: Choice Filling

  • Log in to your account and mark options of colleges and Fill your college as per your choice and preference.
  • Choose your college carefully and according to your merit.
  • The choices made by the candidate will not be changed in any circumstances once its submitted.

Step 3 – Seat Allotment/Allocation Process

  • JEE Mains 2021 Seat Allotment is completely based on aspirants’ merit and choices in JoSAA and CSAB.
  • The Counselling process will be conducted in multiple rounds and thus, seat allotment is carried out in each round.
  • Once the allotted seat is rejected, aspirants will be allowed to participate in the other rounds of the counselling.
  • After the JoSAA seat allotment, CSAB counselling process will take place

Step-4: Seat Allocation Fee Payment:

To confirm the seat, candidates will have to pay the fees through SBI Net Banking or e-Challan.

  1. The seat acceptance fee (SAF) for all the aspirants except SC/ ST/ SC-PwD/ ST-PWD/ GEN-PwD/ OBC-NCL-PwD is Rs 45,000.
  2. Aspirants who belong to SC/ ST/ SC-PwD/ ST-PwD/ GEN-PwD/ OBC-NCL-PwD categories will have to pay Rs. 20,000 as SAF.

Step-5: Document Verification:

  • The aspirants will have to go through the document verification process at the help centres.
  • Report at the allotted centre for document verification by the officials and reserve a seat.

Step-6: Reporting at the Allotted college/Institute:

After the document verification is done, aspirants will have to report at the allotted institute/College and pay the balance fees in the institute, and then confirm the admission.

Candidates must bring the documents listed below in Original for verification during admission and candidates must submit one Attested copy set of following documents during counselling.

  • 3 passport size photographs
  • JEE Main Admit Card
  • JEE Main Rank Card
  • Date of Birth proof
  • Class 10thmarksheet
  • Class 12thmarksheet
  • Migration Certificate
  • Caste Certificate
  • Character certificate issued by the high school
  • Copy of Confirmation Page

Q. In how many Sessions will JEE (Main)-2021 be conducted?

A. JEE Mains 2021 will be conducted in Four Sessions (February/ March/ April/ May) from this year.

Q. Candidate can apply for one session or more than one session together?

A. Candidate can apply for one session or for more than one Session (February/March /April /May 2021) together and pays the exam fee accordingly.

Q. Candidate can apply for another session after declaration of result?

A. Yes, the opportunity will be given to applying for the next session to be held in March/ April / May Sessions. The application window will be re-opened briefly immediately after the declaration of the result of the February / March/ April Session.

Q. How can a candidate submit the application fees?

A. The fees can be submitted only ONLINE through Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, UPI or Paytm Services.

Q. What is the mode of examination?

A. JEE (Main) 2021 Examination will be held in “Computer Based Test” (CBT) Mode only, except that the Drawing Test for B.Arch. will be held in “Pen & Paper” (offline) mode.

A. The JEE (Main) -2021 will be conducted in Four Sessions. The tentative date of examinations are as
follows:
Session- 1: 23, 24, 25 & 26 February 2021
Session -2: 16, 17 & 18 March 2021
Session -3: 27, 28, 29 & 30 April 2021
Session -4: 24, 25, 26, 27 & 28 May 2021

Q. Will B. Tech/ B. Arch Scores of JEE (Main) 2021 will use for admission to UPSEE 2021?

A. Yes, B. Tech/ B. Arch Scores of JEE (Main) 2021 will also be used for admission to B. Tech/B. Arch Courses covered under UPSEE-2021

Q. What is the age limit to appear in JEE (Main) -2021?

There is no age limit for the candidates to appear in the JEE (Main) 2021. The candidates who have passed the class 12 / equivalent examination in 2019, 2020, or appearing in 2021 irrespective of their age can appear in JEE (Main)- 2021 examination.

Q. Is Aadhaar Card number mandatory for JEE Main 2021?

A. No, the Aadhaar Card number will not be necessary. Applicants will use any Government identity number such as a Passport, voter ID, ration card and more.

Q. What precautions should I take while appearing for JEE Main 2021 during the pandemic?

Applicants should keep their nose and mouth covered all the way during commutation and while in the JEE Main exam centre. Touching any surface should be avoided, and regular use of sanitiser is recommended.

Q. Who will conduct the JEE Main 2021 Counselling?

A. Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will be responsible for counselling JEE Main 2021 qualified candidates.
