NATA Exam Pattern is divided into two parts, Part A comprises Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) to be answered online, and Part B will be answered on A4 size drawing sheets.

Important Points (Basic Guidelines)
- NATA 2021 will be conducted as an online exam of 3 hours.
- The online Aptitude exam will have MCQ, Multiple Select types (MSQ), Preferential Choice type (PCQ) and Numerical Answer Type (NAQ) questions.
- The questions will be 1 mark, 2 marks or 3 marks and the total marks of NATA 2021 will be 200 marks.
- Medium of Examination: The medium of the exam is English.

How Aptitude of candidates will be accessed?
The aptitude of the candidate will be assessed using some or all of the following techniques:
- Diagrammatic Reasoning – Tests the ability of logical reasoning using diagrams and scenarios.
- Numerical Reasoning – Tests mathematical ability through simple problems
- Verbal Reasoning- Assesses the ability to assess verbal logic.
- Inductive Reasoning – Tests the ability to see patterns and analyse given data
- Situational Judgment – Tests problem-solving ability.
- Logical Reasoning – Tests ability to recognise patterns, sequences or relationships between shapes and imagery.
- Abstract Reasoning: Will assess general knowledge and ability to utilise knowledge in new situations.

A. Following are the test timings:
Session 1 – 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 pm (180 mins/3.0 hours)
Session 2 (if required) – 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm (180 mins/ 3.0 hours)
A. The NATA 2021 is completely a computer-based test.
The total marks for the test are 200.
125 questions have to be answered in 180 minutes (3 hours).
Questions will carry either 1, 2 or
3 marks. Questions could be of the Multiple-Choice type (MCQ),
Multiple Select types (MSQ),
Preferential Choice type (PCQ) and Numerical Answer Type (NAQ).
A. No. The request for change of test center once allotted will not be entertained.
A. The candidates will have to follow the schedule as follows:
(a) Report to the Examination Center by 9.00 am
(b) Opening gate to the examination hall at 9.15 am
(c) Registration of candidate to be completed by 9.45 am
(d) Closing gate to the examination hall at 10.00 am
(e) Commencement of examination at 10.00 am
(f) Duration of examination: 10.00 am to 1.00 pm
