Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is going to conduct the NEET MDS counselling 2020 in the first week of March. NEET MDS 2020 counselling will be conducted in online mode to take admission in Dental colleges in India upto 50% All India Quota (AIQ), deemed, central universities and ESIC colleges.

To participate in NEET MDS counselling 2020, candidates must have secure minimum marks in PG dental entrance test. Candidate must note that NEET MDS counselling 2020 for 50% AIQ seats will be held for two rounds only.

Eligibility to attend Counselling

Only those applicant are eligible to attend the NEET MDS Counselling 2020 who has successfully qualified the NEET MDS 2020 exam. To qualify the exam the candidate requires to obtain equal or more than NEET MDS cut off set by the DCI (Dental Council of India). The NEET MDS Counselling 2020 fees have two categories refundable and non-refundable. Refer the following table to know the fee details.

The applicants who are allocated a seat through the NEET MDS 2020 counselling must report to the allotted institute for confirmation of the documents. For confirmation of the seat allocated, the candidate must carry the following documents.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q: Will NEET MDS counselling be conducted in online mode? Do I have to report at the venue for counselling?

Ans: Yes, the entire counselling of NEET MDS 2020 will be carried in online mode

Q: If a candidate is not allotted in the second round, will his/her seat in the first round will be cancelled?

Ans: The seats allotted in round one will not be cancelled. If a candidate will not be allotted seat in the second round of NEET MDS counselling 2020, their seat in round one will be considered.

Q: How many seats are in NEET MDS?

Ans: NEET MDS exam is a computer-based Exam containing a total of 240 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The entrance test will be conducted for 6,228 seats offered in various dental colleges in the country.

Q: How many attempts we can give for NEET MDS exam?

Ans: According to officials, General/OBC candidates were able to attempt only 3 times for NEET examination up to the age of 25 years while SC/ST could attempt same (3 times) up to the age of 30 years.

Q: Is the NEET MDS cutoff revised?

Ans: Yes, if there are seats left vacant even after the mop-up round of counselling. The exam conducting authority in consultation with the government of India will lower the NEET MDS cutoff.
