According to the latest Update, the NEET UG and PG counselling for All India Quota (AIQ) medical seats will be conducted in four rounds. MCC will conduct four rounds of counselling for AIQ seats in NEET UG and PG 2021 and vacant seats will not go back to the state quota after the second round of counselling. MCC disclosed its plan of changing the counselling process as part of an affidavit submitted in the Kerala High Court in a case filed against by a candidate.
The Supreme Court of India has approved the new counselling scheme of the MCC. This will be applicable for 50 per cent of postgraduate seats and 15 per cent of undergraduate seats under the central pool. The four rounds of MCC NEET Counselling 2021 are – AIQ round 1, AIQ round 2, AIQ mop-up round and AIQ stray vacancy round.
