JEE Mains 2022 Exam Dates: The Department of Higher Education has announced the Exam Dates of JEE Mains Exams of 2022 on the official website (jeemain.nta.nic.in). On Tuesday, the National Testing Agency (NTA) announced that the first phase of JEE Mains 2022 would be held from April 16 to 21, while the second phase would be held from May 24 to 29. The Authority has released the online registration dates, starting from 01.03.2022 (Tuesday), and the deadline to submit a JEE Main 2022 application form for the first session is March 31, 2022. All candidates can apply now, as the online registration process is open until closing.

There are two papers in the Joint Entrance Examination (Main).

  1. For admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs (B.E/B. Tech) at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), and Institutions/Universities funded/recognized by participating State Governments, Paper 1 is administered. It’s also a qualifying exam for JEE (Advanced), which is used to get into IITs.
  2. Paper 2 is required for admission to the country’s B. Arch and B. Planning programmes.

List of Major Changes on JEE MAIN 2022 Exam pattern

  1. Session: In JEE MAIN 2022, there will be two sessions: Session 1 will be held in April, and the registration process for that session is now open; Session 2 will be held in May, and the registration procedure for that session will be available later.
  2. OTP Required: The Candidates must enter the OTP received at their registered phone while registering, and they must also enter the OTP received at their email address before submitting the fees.
  3. No correction facility will be available at any point of time during the process.
  4. Choice of cities will be mentioned as per the permanent address mentioned by the candidates.
  5. Family and Annual Income is the Mandatory Field this time.
  6. E mail-The candidate will receive an email of the confirmation page and final score card.
  7. The candidates have to download the application SANDES on their smartphones as a secondary channel to receive notifications from NTA.
  8. A provision for cross-checking the photograph in real time while filling out the online application form has been investigated.
  9. The candidates have to mentioned the Adhar Number in the online application form.
  10. This time, the subscribe will be provided by the NTA.
  11. The NTA is providing the Umang and DigiLocker to all the candidates to download their necessary documents.
  12. There will be Negative Marking in both the sections.

Note: Each Subject will have two portions in Paper 1 and Part I of Paper 2. Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) will make up Section A, while Questions with numerical values to fill in will make up Section B. Candidates must tackle any 05 (five) of the ten questions in Section B. Both Section A and Section B will have negative markings. Enter the correct integer value of the answer in the designated place for each question in Section B using the mouse and the on-screen virtual numeric keypad. The answer in Section B should be rounded to the nearest integer.

Important Instruction for JEE Participants

  1. Candidates can apply for JEE (Main) – 2022 Session 1 solely through “Online” method from March 1, 2022 to March 31, 2022 (up to 5:00 p.m.).
  2. Deposition of Fees (where applicable) can be paid online using credit/debit card/net banking/UPI/Paytm wallet till 31.03.2022 (11:30 p.m.).
  3. Only Session 1 will be visible in the first session of JEE (Main) – 2022, and candidates can choose to take it. Session 2 will be displayed at the next session, and candidates might choose to participate in it. According to the information in the Information Bulletin, the application window for Session 2 will be reopened.
  4. For each session, an applicant must submit just one Application Form. Multiple application forms for the same session submitted by a candidate will not be accepted at any cost.
  5. Candidates are asked to thoroughly fill out the Application Form. Once the Application Form has been submitted, no changes may be made.
  6. Candidates, who desire to appear in JEE (Main) – 2022, may see the detailed Information Bulletin available on the websit https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/.
