Postponed NEET UG 2022 to August; Medical Aspirants Start Online Petition; Hashtag goes trend on Twitter!

NEET UG 2022 Postponed or not: The National Testing Agency (NTA), the last date of registrations for NEET 2022 for over 16 lakh aspirants is May 7 at neet.nta.nic.in. According to the official notice released by the NTA, the NEET UG 2022 exam date is July 17. The medical entrance test aspirants have started signing an online petition demanding to defer the exam to August. The Petition, a copy of which is circulating on social media platforms, has pointed out the situation of the aspirants facing immense mental stress and pressure because of the NEET-UG schedule in July.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) administers the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for MBBS, BDS AYUSH, veterinary, and nursing programmes; the NEET-UG is administered in pen and paper mode, and the exam will be held in 13 languages for over 16 lakh aspirants.

However, candidates further pointed out that “NEET UG 2021 Counselling” has just ended in March-April, and then NEET-UG 2022 is scheduled in July. Moreover, other important exams like the Board Exams, CUCET, and JEE Mains are also planned around the same time. Suspect the concussion and stress we students endure with all these essential exams scheduled one after the other! How are we to revise such a vast syllabus in just 3 months? Is this a fair decision?”
