Admission Process

Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstance.

Staff candidates are exempted from payment of examination fee and intimation charges.

Exam Pattern

NID 2020 paper will be divided into two Stages (Preliminary & Mains). The first part will be NID DAT Preliminary Exam and will consist of Multiple Choice Objective Type questions (MCQ’s) and its weight will be 70 marks. The second paper (which will compromise of paper subjective in nature) will be of a total of 30 marks. Let us have a look at the exam pattern of NID DAT 2020 examination. Those who will qualify the NID DAT Prelims exam 2020 will be allowed for NID DAT Mains examination. The NID DAT Prelims and mains exam pattern will consist of the following subjects.

Admit Card


The DAT Mains 2020 Admit Card for B.Des and GDPD will be released on 1 May 2020. The Admit Card or commonly known as Call Later can be download from the official website. The admit card is the mandatory document to carry during the Exam hall at the time of written examination. If a candidate fails to show His/Her NID 2020 Admit Card at the time of the written exam, then he/she shall not be allowed to appear for the test. DAT Mains result for B.Des and GDPD will be declared on 19th March 2020. The result will release online on the website. Students can Cheak their results by entering their roll number and other required details are given below.

Counselling Procedure


Only those aspirants who have passed the above qualifying examination by clearing the cutoff will be invited for central counselling session based on the score obtained in NID 2020. NID 2020 counselling process will start in 5th-6th June 2020. Below we have mentioned the selection process of NID 2020.

  • Counselling of NID 2020 will be conducted by National Institute Design in multiple rounds for providing admissions to various campuses. Only Qualified candidates would be allotted seats provisionally after online verification of documents.
  • The merit list will be prepared based on the online consent submitted by the qualified candidates. The candidates are advised regularly visits the official admissions website for latest updates and submit their consent before the closing date.
  • The candidate who has qualified as per the Merit List would be required to upload the document through the online mode.
  • After the document verification students can pay the required NID college tuition fee.
