ApplicationCandidates are required to submit the Application along with the research proposal of about 10 to 12 pages to be submitted within the stipulated time.
Admission TestCandidates have clear the written test which will be on par with UGC NET / JRF exams and candidates securing not less than 50% marks in aggregate will qualify for making an oral presentation before the expert panel.
Test Description1. Objective type questions on Research Aptitude: 50 marks
2. Contemporary developments in the field of law and society: 50 marks
3. Specific questions in Law /MBL/MPP/other disciplines: 50 marks
Selection ProcessCandidates will be selected by the P.G. Council upon consideration of the report submitted by the expert panel on the presentation.

Eligibility Criteria

Program Eligibility
UG Course 1. Aspirant will be considered eligible for CLAT if he/she has passed the 12th examination with minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST candidates).
2. Aspirant appearing the 12th examination in March/April will also be eligible for CLAT. Such candidates have to produce the proof of passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission.
3. There is no age limit.
Mater’s in Public Policy Applicants must have a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university/colleges/instution are eligible to apply.
LLM Candidates must have LL.B or equivalent degree with a minimum of 55% marks for General/ OBC/ SAP candidates and 50% for SC/ ST categories.
M.Phil (Law) Applicants must have passed an LL.M. Degree (regular) from a recognized university/colleges/instution with at least B+ grade or 55% marks or its equivalent are eligible to apply.
Ph.D. (Law)

Ph.D. Degree in Law: Candidates shall have an LL.M. Degree (regular mode) from recognized University securing an aggregate of 55% marks or its equivalent grade (50% of marks or its equivalent grade in case of SC/ST/SAP).
Ph.D. Degree in Public Policy: Master’s Degree in Public Policy (regular mode) from a recognized University with 55% on the aggregate or equivalent grade (50% of marks or its equivalent grade in case of SC/ST/SAP).

Ph.D. Degree (Inter-disciplinary)
  1. Candidates must have a Master’s Degree in any discipline with 55% minimum marks or equivalent grade and a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University are eligible to apply.
  2. Applicants who have passed the Company Secretaryship examination conducted by the ICS in India along with degree awarded by Associate Membership of the Institute (ACS) is eligible to apply.
  3. Applicants that have passed the Chartered Accountants examination conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants along with bachelor’s degree in law with 55% marks in aggregate are eligible to apply.
