The National Students Union of India, NSUI, along with many students from Karnataka have filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) requesting the state government to postpone the KCET Exam 2020.
Earlier it was announced by the state government that the Karnataka Common Entrance Test, (KCET) 2020 would be commenced on 30 & 31, 2020. As many as 1,94,356 students have registered to appear in the examinations. Recently the National Students Union of India, NSUI has filed a petition asking the state government to postpone the KCET exam 2020.

The government has already mentioned that the exam will be conducted following the strict standard operating procedures like wearing of masks is compulsory, thermal screening and maintenance of physical distance to be strictly followed. It was also mentioned that the exam halls will be sanitized before 2 days to the exam.
According to the current situation, NSUI tweeted, “NSUI Karnataka has filed a PIL in the respected High Court of Karnataka requesting to intervene and postpone KCET exams which is scheduled to conduct on July 30 and July 31.”

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) had already released its admit card for KCET exam 2020 on July 17, 2020. Since then a lot of students have opposed the decision of conducting exams through various social media platforms.
