Admission Procedure
PIMS Nursing College Pondicherry will accept self-attested Xerox copies of document papers submitted by students. If the candidate is unable to submit the requisite documents by the required date, her admission will automatically stand cancelled.
Eligibility Criteria
We have mentioned below all the important information about the eligibility criteria for the reference of the applicants:
| B.Sc Nursing | Completed 2 years intermediate/ HSC or equivalent course thereof, with Science subjects and English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology from a recognized Indian University of equivalent. Secured minimum of 50% aggregate marks in science subjects. Completed 17 years of age as on September 30. |
| M.Sc Nursing | The Candidate must have the minimum educational requirements shall be the passing of B.Sc Nursing /BSc Hons Nursing/Post Basic B.sc Nursing with the minimum of 55% aggregate marks. 5% relaxation of marks for SC/ST candidates may be given in accordance with INC forms. Registered Nurse and Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Council. Minimum 1 year of work experience after registration following Basic B.Sc Nursing. Minimum 1 year of work experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc Nursing. |
| P.B.B.Sc Nursing | Obtained certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery and registered as Nurse and Midwife with State Nursing Council. A male trained before the implementation of the new integrated course registered as an A grade nurse with State Nursing Council , shall produce the evidence of training approved by Indian National Council for a similar duration in lieu of Midwifery. |
| Ph.D Nursing | Selection of the candidates are based on the merit of the Entrance Examination held by University or Competent Authority. Admissions are done through Registrar office Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences, Puducherry. Enquiries can also be made at College of Nursing. |

Note: Duly filled-in Application should be submitted along with the DD for Rs. 1000/- drawn in favour of Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences payable at Puducherry. Submitted DD will not be refunded.
ENTRANCE EXAMINATION
- CETPPMC ( Common Entrance Test for Pondicherry Private Medical and Dental College).
Pondicherry State level examination for medical candidates. The examination comprises of MCQ’S type questions.
