Candidates who qualify for the UPCET exam can register for the counselling process from the official website. Applicants can check the steps for the UPCET 2023 counselling process given below.

Step 1: Registration, Uploading of Documents and Fee Payment

The first step in UPCET counselling is to complete the registration process from the official website. After filling in all the details in the registration form, candidates have to pay the UPCET 2023 counselling fee online. Applicants also need to upload relevant documents as mentioned in the notification on the counselling portal.

Step 2 – Verification of Documents

If there is any discrepancy in documents uploaded in the counselling form, UPCET will contact the candidates through a registered email ID/ phone number.

Step 3 – Choice Filling and Locking

After completing document verification, candidates have to fill out their college and course choices from the UPCET Counselling portal. Applicants are advised to fill in as many choices as possible in the UPCET choice filling form.

Step 4 – Seat Allotment

The seat allotment will be done based on JEE Main score and all-India rank. Candidates can check their seat allotment status 2023 from the login window.

Step 5 – Confirmation of Seat and Online Willingness

Candidates allotted seats in the respective counselling round have to confirm their seats. Applicants can select any one option from the three options mentioned below.

  • Freeze: If a candidate is satisfied with the seat allotted to him, then he/she may freeze it.
  • Float: If a candidate is not satisfied with the seat allotted to him/her and wants to upgrade it in the next round.
  • Withdrawal: If the applicant is not satisfied with the seat allotted to him/her and does not want to participate in further rounds of counselling.

Step 6 – Reporting to Allotted College

Applicants must reach the college as per the date allotted to them. Candidates need to carry all the required documents with the seat acceptance fee receipt and seat allotment letter. Candidates satisfied with their seat allotment have to report to their respective colleges for further admission process.
