The most awaited list of Top 10 Architecture Colleges in India by NIRF Ranking 2019 is out. The NIRF ranking framework was introduced about four years ago by the Education Department to outline the best colleges in the country and this is for the first time where colleges were ranked under the ‘Architecture’ category also.
Almost 4,500 institutes participated in the rankings this year and based upon certain guidelines (fixed by NIRF), the ranking is done. As per the list released by NIRF, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur topped the chart with a score of 78.4/100. The Department of Architecture-Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee stands at number 2 with a cumulative score of 74.2/100.

To outline the Brand value of a specific College in India, the Concept of NIRF Ranking was introduced by the Ministry of Human Resource & Development(MHRD) on 29th September 2015. A. NATA is a compulsory exam for taking admission to any Architectural College in India (Except NITs & IITs) and is an eligibility test for admission into the Architecture Course.
