| Subjects | Applicants must meet the eligibility criteria of the mandatory That means applicants must have physics, chemistry, and biology as compulsory subjects in the HSC exams. English should also be among the compulsory subjects in the qualifying HSC exams. |
| Qualifying Marks | Applicants in the general category must score not less than 50% marks in the qualifying exam. Reserved category applicants should score at least 45% marks on the qualifying exam, which is the HSC exam. |
| Appearing Applicants | Applicants who are in a position of final exam of the HSC in the current year are also eligible to appear for the entrance exam and get admission. |
M.Sc. Nursing

| Registration with the State Council | Applicants who want to get admission in the M.Sc. nursing courses in different universities of Tripura must be registered nurses or registered midwives or any equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council. |
| Relaxation | The authorities have given 5% relaxation in the qualifying marks to the applicants who belong to reserved category. |
| Recognized Institution | One must have completed their B.Sc. Hons. Nursing or B.Sc. Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution by the Indian Nursing Council. |

- There is no provision for negative markings in the entrance exam.
