Educational Qualification

B.Sc Nursing

• HSC exam in any stream must be completed from a recognized board or university by the applicant.

M.Sc Nursing

• An applicant who wants to get admission in M.Sc. Nursing courses must have completed a bachelor’s degree in the nursing course from a recognized board or university.
• Applicants who have completed post basic degree in nursing or honors degree in nursing from a recognized university or institution are also eligible to apply for admission.

Nationality

B.Sc Nursing/ M.Sc Nursing

• Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply for the entrance exam.

Age Criteria

B.Sc Nursing

• Applicants must be above the age of 17 years at the time of admission.
• No maximum age limit decided for the applicants by the authorities.

M.Sc Nursing

• The university has not decided on an age limit for the applicants to apply.

Qualifying Marks

B.Sc Nursing

• General category applicants must score more than 45% marks in the qualifying exam.
• Reserved category applicants must score a minimum of 40% marks in the HSC exams.

M.Sc Nursing

• Applicants must have scored not less than 55% marks in the bachelor’s degree in a nursing course or equivalent exam.
• Reserved category applicants must score a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying exams

Recognized board

B.Sc Nursing

• Applicants who want to get admission to the university must have cleared the HSC exam from a known board like AISSCE, CBSE, ICSE, SSCE, HSCE or equivalent board.

M.Sc Nursing

• Applicants who have completed their bachelor’s degree in nursing through distance learning centers recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) are only eligible.

Subject

B.Sc Nursing / M.Sc Nursing

• One must have physics, chemistry, biology – botany and zoology along with English as mandatory subjects in the HSC exams.

Exam Pattern

B.Sc. Nursing 2020 Exam Pattern

• Exam Mode: The entrance exam will be conducted in offline mode (pen and paper-based test).
• The type of Questions: MCQ will be asked in the question paper.
• Questions: 50 questions of 100 marks will be asked in the entrance exam.
• Marks: Two marks will be awarded to the applicant for each correct answer.
• Negative Marking: Each incorrect answer will deduct ½ marks from the exam.
• Exam Language: The question paper of the entrance exam will be published in English and Bengali language.
• Exam Duration: Applicants will get two hours to solve the paper.

The question paper will be divided into two papers as mentioned below:

• Paper 1: physics and chemistry
• Paper 2: biological science

M.Sc. Nursing 2020 Exam Pattern

• The question papers intended for the Admission tests intend to be set in English and each will comprise 100 single best response type Multiple Choice Questions.
• The time of the Admission Test will be of 80 minutes.

Counselling

B.Sc Nursing

No separate counseling process will be conducted for the applicants by the JENPAS- UG Authorities will provide admission to the applicants on the basis of the merit list and marks secured by them in the entrance exam. Central Selection Committee will be conducting a different counseling round for the qualified applicants.

M.Sc Nursing

In the counseling round, applicants need to open the particular link and fill the registration form to partake in the counseling round. After that applicants need to opt for the choice along with their preference and secure the choices filled in the counseling round.

When the counseling round is done applicants need to download seat allotment letters from the official website of the university. When the seats are chosen for the applicants, they need to visit the allotted college with all crucial pamphlets and credentials.
