JEE Main 2023 Application Form Correction Begins for Session 2; Know Edit, Steps

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main is one of the most prestigious entrance exams in India for students aspiring to pursue engineering and architecture courses. The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts this exam twice a year in multiple sessions. The JEE Main 2023 Session 2 is scheduled to be held in April, and the application process for the same started on February 15, 2023. It is essential to fill out the JEE Main 2023 application form carefully, as any mistake made while filling out the form may lead to rejection of the application or loss of marks in the exam. However, if any mistake is made while filling out the form, there is no need to panic as the NTA provides an opportunity for the applicants to correct their mistakes.

The NTA has opened the JEE Main 2023 application form correction window for Session 2 from March 11, 2023, to March 16, 2023. During this period, candidates who have registered for the exam can make corrections to their application form.

Steps to JEE Main 2023 Application Form Correction

To make corrections in the JEE Main 2023 application form, candidates need to follow the below-mentioned steps:

  • Visit the official website of JEE Main 2023.
  • Click on the “Application Form Correction” link.
  • Log in using your application number and password.
  • Make the necessary corrections in the application form.
  • Preview the corrected application form and verify all the details.
  • Click on the “Submit” button.

It is important to note that candidates can make corrections only in certain fields such as personal details, academic details, photographs, signatures, and choice of exam centre. However, candidates cannot change their email address and mobile number once they have been submitted.

JEE Main Application Form Correction 2023

Details that can be corrected are as follows (For AADHAR-verified candidates)

  1. Father’s and Mother’s name: Candidates can either change their father’s name or their mother’s name (anyone only).
  2. Category: Candidates can either change their category or re-upload their category certificate and vice-versa but not both.
  3. Sub-Category: Candidates can either change their sub-category (PwD) or re-upload their sub-category certificate and vice-versa but not both.
  4. City and Medium: Candidates are allowed to change their city preferences along with the medium in which they want to give the JEE Main 2023 exam.
  5. Qualification including passing year – Class 10th and 12th: Candidates can also make necessary amendments in the qualification details in the 10th and 12th or equivalent passing examination.
  6. Course: NTA has given the opportunity to the candidates to correct/add courses that they have selected during the filling of the application form.

  4. Date of Birth and Gender: NTA has allowed the candidates to change their date of birth and gender if necessary.
  5. City and Medium: Candidates are allowed to change their city preferences along with the medium in which they want to give the JEE Main 2023 exam.
  6. Qualification including passing year – Class 10th and 12th: Candidates can also make necessary amendments in the qualification details in the 10th and 12th or equivalent passing examination.
  7. Course: NTA has given the opportunity to the candidates to correct/add courses that they have selected during the filling of the application form.
