KVS Admission 2023: The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) is a system of central government schools in India. KVS is known for its quality education and is a popular choice among parents for their children’s schooling. KVS will start the online registration for Class 1 admission for the 2023-24 academic year on March 27. Registration for Class 2 and above will begin on April 3, 2023, at 8 am and will conclude on April 12 at 4 pm if vacancies exist in offline mode only.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for KVS Admission 2023 Class 1 are as follows:

  1. The child should be between 5 and 7 years of age as of 31st March 2023.
  2. The child should have completed Kindergarten or its equivalent.
  3. The child should satisfy the minimum age limit criteria.

Documents Required

The following documents are required for KVS Admission 2023 Class 1:

  1. Birth Certificate of the child issued by the Municipal Corporation or any other competent authority.
  2. Residence Proof of the child (any one of the following): a) Ration Card issued in the name of parents having the name of the child in it. b) Domicile certificate of the child or of his/her parents. c) Voter ID Card of any of the parents. d) Electricity bill/MTNL telephone bill/Water bill/Passport in the name of any of the parents or child.
  3. Caste Certificate (if applicable).
  4. Disability Certificate (if applicable).
  5. Service Certificate showing the number of transfers during the preceding 7 years (if applicable).

Selection Process

The selection process for KVS Admission 2023 Class 1 is as follows:

  1. The selection will be done on the basis of a draw of lots.
  2. If applications exceed the number of seats available, the selection will be done through a lottery system.
  3. The lottery system will be conducted in the presence of parents, and the date and time of the lottery will be intimated to parents in advance.
