NEET MDS 2024 Admit Card: Today, on March 15, the National Board of Examinations (NBE) is set to release the admit cards for the National Eligibility Entrance Test—Master of Dental Surgery (NEET) MDS 2024. Applicants who have registered for the examination are encouraged to access their NEET MDS admit card 2024 through the official website, nbe.edu.in. The NEET MDS 2024 examination is scheduled to take place on 18 March 2024.
Today, there is a possibility that the Supreme Court will consider a plea for the postponement of the exam. Aspirants approached the highest court again after the health ministry did not reach a decision regarding the postponement of the NEET MDS exam. In February, the apex court concluded the case concerning the delay of NEET MDS 2024, stating that the Centre was better equipped to decide on the matter.
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) recently announced an extension of the internship completion deadline for NEET MDS 2024 to June 30. Additionally, they reopened the registration facility for eligible aspirants for NEET MDS 2024. Aspirants were given the opportunity to apply for the exam until March 11.
Recent announcements from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare have refuted claims implying the lack of NEET MDS exam centres in the Northeast. The Ministry confirmed the presence of examination centres in northeastern states like Shillong, Naharlagun, Kohima, Aizawl, Guwahati, and Kolkata. Furthermore, it was disclosed that only 560 students registered for NEET MDS during the second registration period.
Numerous student and medical professional organizations initiated social media campaigns and corresponded with Mansukh Mandaviya and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging for the postponement of NEET MDS 2024 until July. Their reasons included insufficient preparation time, the disqualification of numerous aspirants, and the delay in counselling, which would leave candidates waiting for several months.
