CUET UG 2024: NTA To Allow Addition Of 2 New Test Papers During Correction Period

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has allowed CUET UG 2024 aspirants to include the two new test papers during the correction period. The ongoing registration process for the Common University Entrance Test – Undergraduate (CUET UG 2024) is set to conclude on March 26.

Earlier, the NTA mentioned adding two new test papers, fashion studies and tourism, while addressing frequently asked questions. Today, the NTA released an official notification confirming the inclusion of these subjects. The NTA will conduct the CUET UG 2024 exam for 63 subjects, encompassing 33 languages, 29 domain-specific papers, and one general test.

By the directives of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to promote skill-based subjects in line with the recommendations of the National Education Policy (NEP), fashion studies and tourism papers have been incorporated into CUET UG 2024.

Candidates who have already submitted their online application for CUET (UG) – 2024 can also add these subjects during the correction period. However, candidates selecting additional subjects must pay an extra fee if applicable.

Per the previously announced schedule, the NTA will open the correction facility from March 28 to 29. The issuance of CUET UG 2024 city slips will commence from April 30 onwards.

M Jagadesh Kumar, Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC), revealed yesterday that 46 central universities, 32 state universities, 20 deemed-to-be universities, 98 private institutions, and six government colleges will participate in CUET UG 2024. 202 universities will utilize CUET UG scores for undergraduate program admissions.
