JEE Main 2022 Tie Breaking Rule: The National Testing Agency has made some changes in the tie-breaker rule of JEE Mains, and the changes have been informed in the information brochure. The age factor was scrapped in 2021; moreover, the examination official authorities have introduced the examination application numbers in ascending order as other criteria. If two or more students score the same marks, and the tie is unable to be determined by other means, then the student who has applied before for JEE Main will be given priority over the others.
JEE Main 2022 Tie Breaking Rule
Tie between candidates obtaining equal Total NTA scores in Paper1: B.E./B.Tech will be resolved in the following manner in descending order:
- NTA score in Mathematics, followed by
- NTA score in Physics, followed by
- NTA score in Chemistry, followed by
- Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in all the subjects in the Test, followed by
- Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Mathematics in the Test, followed by
- Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Physics in the Test, followed by
- Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Chemistry in the Test followed by
- Older in Age followed by
- Application Number in ascending order
According to the earlier update, the authority has re-opened the JEE Main 2021 session 1 registration at jeemain.nta.nic.in and the revised schedule mentioned below.
