DIT University Dehradun Scholarship Scheme: Every student dreams of studying in the best college, but very few make it happen. Some students lack career guidance, whereas others suffer from a financial crisis. As a result, they are forced to drop their plan. Many Brilliant Students from apparently weak backgrounds have to compromise with some low-grade colleges because of their Financial unavailability. DIT University Scholarship Programs are one of the most extensive scholarships run by any University in India.

DIT University has always encouraged scholarly aptitude and merit in students. To facilitate students’ academic excellence scholarships, the university’s following scholarships are awarded to Meritorious students.

Merit-Based Scholarship

Applicable To: UG Programmes

1. DIT University Merit Scholarship shall be awarded based on the percentage of marks obtained in identified subjects at admission and applies to the tuition fee for the respective year of study. Details are given in Annexure 1.
2. DIT University Dehradun Based on the CGPA obtained after each completed year of study, the top 10% of the students in each UG programme shall be eligible for a merit scholarship applicable to the Tuition fee of the respective year of study as per the following details:
3. DIT University Scholarship will be awarded to the top 10% of students appearing in the final term examination.
4. DIT Scholarship will be awarded to students who clear all papers in a single attempt without any back papers, UFM, or Discipline cases.

Uttarakhand/ Other Himalaya States Scholarship

Applicable To: UG & PG Programme

1. DIT University Dehradun Scholarship 26% scholarship on Tuition fees shall be granted to permanent residents of Uttarakhand / Other Himalayan States for whom 40% of seats are reserved in all UG / PG programmes
2. DIT University Scholarship For claiming Uttarakhand / Other Himalayan States Scholarship, the student will be eligible ONLY if they carry a valid Domicile Certificate in Original at the time of reporting for Counselling / Admission.
3. DIT University students admitted under Uttarakhand / Other Himalayan States Scholarship will continue to avail the above scholarship for their entire programme duration.

Shri Naveen Agarwal Ji Scholarship for Girl Students

Applicable To: UG Programmes

DIT University Scholarship of 10% on Tuition fee is applicable for Girl students in their first year of UG
programmes subject to the following conditions:

• DIT University Dehradun Student has scored 80% & above in X & XII Std. Aggregate.
• DIT University Scholarship percentage will remain the same for all categories of admission

To continue the above scholarship, the student should maintain a CGPA of 8.5 and above every year, without any back paper, UFM or Indiscipline case.

Scholarship for Son/Daughter

A scholarship of 5% on the Tuition fee is applicable for the wards of Defense\personnel in the first year of the UG programmes. For claiming the scholarship, the student will be considered eligible ONLY if they are carrying a valid Certificate/document as under in original at the time of reporting for Counseling / Admission:

(i) In case of serving Defense Personnel –

• Dependent’s card issued to the servicemen / A Certificate issued by the Unit Head / C.O. of the Servicemen
• The Aadhaar card of the Serviceman
• The Aadhaar card of the student

(ii) In the case of retired Defense Personnel –

• Discharge Certificate of the Servicemen
• The Aadhaar card of the Serviceman
• The Aadhaar card of the student

Scholarship for Son/ Daughter of Defence personnel (Martyrs Defence Personnel / Gallantry Medals Awardees)

DIT University Scholarship of 5% on Tuition fee is applicable forward to Martyrs Defence
personnel in the first year of the UG programmes. For claiming the scholarship, the student will be considered eligible ONLY if they are carrying a valid Certificate/documents as under in the original at the time of reporting for Counseling / Admission:

• Dependent’s card issued to the servicemen/A Certificate issued by the Unit Head / C.O. of the Servicemen
• Aadhaar card of the father/mother
• Certificate of Gallantry Medal Award
• The Aadhaar card of the student

Scholarship for Graduating students on opting for A higher programme at DIT University

Applicable To: UG & PG Programmes:-

DIT University Scholarship of 5% on Tuition fee of the first year for the students graduating/graduated from DIT University and opting for a higher programme in DIT University without any gap on submission of the following documents:

• University ID Card
• Copy of Provisional Certificate issued in the same year / Grade Card (all semesters)

Scholarship forward for Single Mother

Applicable To: UG & PG Programmes

DIT University Dehradun Scholarship of 5% on Tuition fee is applicable for the ward of a single mother (whose income is less than 5 Lakhs per annum) on submission of the following documents:

1. Death Certificate of spouse/ Valid Proof of Divorce issued by Court of Law.
2. An affidavit by the mother in the prescribed format (As provided by the DIT University).
3. The student has to submit the Certificate of Single Mother issued by the Competent State / National Government Authority.
4. Students applying for these scholarships must submit a copy of their mother’s ITR / income proof issued by the Competent Government Authority (in the case of non-filing of ITR) for the last two financial years.

To continue the scholarship, the student should maintain a CGPA of 7.0 and above every year without any back papers, UFM, or Discipline cases. The student must also submit all the required documents mentioned above at serial no. (H)-2, (H)-3, and (H)-4.

Scholarship for Differently abled student

Applicable To: UG & PG Programmes

A scholarship of 5% on the Tuition fee is applicable for the differently-abled student on submission of the following documents/conditions:

• The student has to submit the Certificate of Handicap issued by the competent authority at the State / National Government Hospital / Board (as per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India).

To continue the above scholarship, the student should maintain a CGPA of 7.0 and above every year, without any back paper, UFM or Indiscipline case.

Eligibility Criteria for Sports Quota Scholarship

All applicants who have represented India in International competitions/ sports, namely; Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games and World University Games, including Cricket, are eligible for the award of scholarship under this category against submission of a participation certificate issued by:

• Olympic Games by International Olympic Committee(IOC)
• World Championship/ World Cup by International Sports Federations(ISF)
• Asian Games by Olympic Council of Asia
• Asian Championships by International Sports Federations(ISF)
• South Asian Games (SAG) by South Asian Sports Council(SASC)
• Commonwealth Games by Commonwealth Games Federations(GCF)
• Paralympics Games by International Paralympics Committee(IPC)
