B.tech	Admission to undergraduate programs of the HNBGU Srinagar is based strictly on the merit of the candidate as inferred from their performance in JEE-Mains
B.Sc	Admission is done on the basis of Last qualifying exam in relevant Discipline.
BA	Admission is done on the basis of Merit and last qualifying exam.
MBA	Admission in MBA programme is done on the basis of CAT Score followed by a counselling organized and conducted by the university.
MA	Admission is done on the basis of Entrance exam conducted by college followed by Personal Interview.
M.com	Admission is done through qualifying marks in Graduation and on the basis of Merit.
PhD	All students seeking admission shall have to possess requisite marks in GATE/ UGC-NET/ CSIR-NET

M.Com	Candidate should have scored 40% in B.Com, B.A/ B.Sc with Maths/ Economics 50% marks.

Scholarship

The university provides several scholarships to students. The scholarships are given as per Central Govt Rules.

• Merit Scholarship to B.Ed. Students: Six students securing the top six positions in the entrance examination conducted by the University for admission to B.Ed. are granted a monthly Scholarship of   Rs. 200/- each.
•  Merit Scholarship to BPL Students: This Scholarship of Rs. 1500/- per month is granted to a maximum of ten talented students of the University belonging to BPL category.
• Shyam Charan Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to the two meritorious students belonging to Economically Weaker Sections (EWS).
• Aditya Ram Barthwal Scholarship: This scholarship of Rs. 300/- per month is granted to poor meritorious students of the first-year of P.G. courses.
• Shri Dev Raghavrag Trust Scholarship: This Merit Scholarship is granted to the student of M.Sc. Physics (previous) who has secured the highest marks in the B.Sc. examination.
• Kalpeshwari Devi Scholarship: This Scholarship is granted to the students securing the highest marks in Hindi in B.A. or M.A. (previous) examination.

Cut off

The Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University (HNBGU Srinagar) is the minimum marks prescribed by the selection board for the admission of students.
