Medical Colleges witness 263 MBBS Seats Vacant in MP in the second round allotment list of the State Combined NEET UG Counselling 2025

The Provisional Second Round Allotment List of the State Combined NEET UG Counselling 2025 unveiled that 263 MBBS Seats Vacant in MP in the medical colleges in Madhya Pradesh. The number does not include seats that can be returned from the All India Quota, which might impact the final seat positions.

Seat Upgradation Statistics After Round 2:

  • Total students upgraded: 1,345
  • Students transferred from private to government colleges: 88
  • Students got fresh allotments: 1,088
  • Students not upgraded: 996

GMC Bhopal-Seat Upgrades in Round 2:

Total seat upgrades to GMC Bhopal: 43 students

  • 26 from NSCB Medical College, Jabalpur
  • 6 from GRMC Gwalior
  • 5 from Ratlam
  • 3 from Vidisha

The trend identifies a definite leaning towards government medical colleges in preference to private colleges based on considerations such as lower tuition fees, better academic facilities, and greater clinical exposure.

As the process of counselling continues, the vacant seats and possible income from the All India Quota will also likely continue to affect the ultimate allotment results.
