In response to the outstanding success of its students in national-level exams, the Uttar Pradesh government has decided to expand its Abhyudaya Free Coaching Scheme to the block level. This initiative aims to help more students from rural and underprivileged backgrounds prepare for competitive exams without having to leave their hometowns.
This year, 81 students from the scheme cleared NEET, while 13 qualified for the UPSC Civil Services Exam. Motivated by these results, the state is developing a plan to extend the coaching model beyond district headquarters and closer to students in rural villages.
Free Coaching Coming Closer to Villages
Many students, especially girls from remote areas, struggle to attend coaching due to distance, financial limitations, and family concerns. To tackle this, local authorities have been directed to identify spaces in block areas where physical classes can be held.
