NEET 2025 Counselling: More than 23 lakh students appeared for the NEET UG 2025 exam, making it one of India’s most competitive entrance exams. The dream of millions of students is to get into a government medical college in India. Only 50,000 students get the opportunity to study MBBS at the government college. Despite this, many candidates with ranks beyond 5–6 lakhs still manage to secure MBBS seats. How? By using the right counselling strategies, mop-up rounds, stray vacancy rounds, and targeting low-cutoff states.
In this article, we explain how low-ranked NEET aspirants can still get MBBS seats without donation or fraud, based on past data, government guidelines, and state-wise opportunities.

Round | Conducted By | Seats Covered | Eligibility |

“Every year, thousands of students believe that a low NEET rank ends their dream of becoming a doctor. But that’s not true. Our experience at RM Group of Education shows that with the right counselling strategy—especially by participating in mop-up and stray vacancy rounds—students with ranks as low as 6–7 lakhs have legally secured MBBS seats in India. The key is awareness, timely registration, and applying across multiple open states.” Sanjay Tiwari, MBBS Admission Expert, RM Group of Education

Mr. Sanjay Tiwari at RM Group of Education also added that students and parents must be alert during the MBBS admission process and be aware of a fraudulent counsellor. “Every year, we come across cases where students fall into the trap of fraud counsellors who promise guaranteed MBBS seats in exchange for large sums of money. It is crucial to avoid any capitation fee demands, illegal offline admissions, or deals with agents claiming backdoor entry,” he said. Mr. Tiwari also warned against enrolling in medical colleges that lack NMC recognition or opting for MBBS abroad programs without checking NEET eligibility requirements. He advised all aspirants to follow only official counselling portals and seek guidance from verified sources and experts.
