The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is expected to start the NEET UG 2025 counselling process from July 1, 2025, for admission to 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats in medical and dental colleges across India. Although the official schedule is yet to be published on mcc.nic.in, students should stay alert for any announcement anytime soon.
When Will NEET 2025 Counselling Begin?
As per a recent hearing in the Delhi High Court, the petitioner’s counsel informed that the NEET UG 2025 counselling will begin on July 1, 2025. This date was also reported by The Hindu and has created a curiosity among NEET aspirants waiting for admission procedures to kick off.

- 15% AIQ seats in government medical and dental colleges across India
- 100% MBBS and BDS seats at AIIMS, JIPMER, AMU, and BHU
- 15% AIQ seats in Delhi University (DU), IP University, VMMC, and ABVIMS
There will be four rounds of counselling: Round 1, Round 2, Mop-Up Round, and Stray Vacancy Round to fill all available seats.
Documents Required for NEET UG 2025 Counselling
Students must keep the following documents ready for a smooth counselling process:
- Valid ID proof (Aadhaar Card / PAN Card / Passport / Driving License)
- NEET UG 2025 Scorecard
- Class 10th and 12th mark sheets and certificates
- Caste Certificate (if applicable)
- Passport-size photographs
- Provisional Allotment Letter
- Any other documents as specified by MCC
- Debit/Credit card or Net Banking details for fee payment
