MCC Announces Pending Refund Notice for NEET UG 2024 Security Deposits

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), has released an important notice regarding the pending refund of security deposits for UG Counselling 2024 candidates.

As per the official notification, candidates whose security deposit refund is still pending are required to submit Annexure A to initiate the refund process.

  • The notice was issued on March 17, 2026 by MCC, DGHS.
  • Only those candidates listed by MCC with pending refunds need to take action.
  • Candidates must submit Annexure A in affidavit format, duly notarized on court stamp paper.

  • Submission of documents should be done as early as possible to avoid delays.
  • MCC has clearly stated that incorrect or incomplete submissions may delay the refund process.

Important Instructions for Candidates

To successfully claim the refund, candidates must ensure:

  • Proper filling of Annexure A with accurate details
  • Submission of a notarized affidavit
  • Inclusion of all required supporting documents

Documents Required

As per Annexure A (Page 3 of the notice), candidates must attach:

  • Copy of Aadhaar Card
  •  Admit Card (UG/PG/SS)
  • Bank details of the account used for payment
  • Bank details for receiving the refund
  •  Scanned copy of passbook or cancelled cheque

Additionally, candidates must declare that:

  • They participated in NEET counselling
  • The security deposit has not yet been refunded
  • All information provided is true and valid
  • They understand the conditions under which the deposit may be refunded or forfeited

Eligibility for Refund

The notice reiterates that the security deposit is refundable only if:

  • The candidate reported to the allotted college after Round 2, or
  • Opted for free exit in Round 1

Failure to meet these conditions may lead to forfeiture of the security deposit.
