- Time constraints for document preparation and NRI status confirmation
- Technical delays or payment processing lags
- Need for more time for careful choice filling and verification
This compassionate decision by the authorities ensures wider participation and fairness, especially for candidates applying under reserved categories, NRI/OCI/PIO quotas, or from remote areas with limited internet access.
Important Tips for Candidates
- Complete all steps well before the deadline to avoid last-minute server traffic.
- Make sure payment is successful and confirmation is received before 3:00 PM on 31st July.
- Ensure proper choice locking between 4:00 PM and 11:55 PM on 31st July. Unlocked choices will not be considered.
- Be prepared with all documents for the reporting phase from 4th August.
NRI Quota Clarification Also Issued
This update comes a day after the MCC also released an urgent advisory for NRI/OCI/PIO candidates, giving them a 24-hour window (till 7 PM, 26th July) to submit embassy-certified documents to be eligible for NRI quota seats in NEET UG counselling.
Together, these announcements show MCC’s effort to maintain transparency, flexibility, and inclusivity in the highly competitive medical admission process.
