New Delhi, November 10, 2025: The MCC has issued a fresh notice for candidates seeking conversion of their candidacy from Indian to the NRI category for the NEET-UG 2025 stray vacancy round.
The notification, dated November 10, 2025, directs all such candidates to submit their updated documents via email between 4:00 PM on November 10 and 2:00 PM on November 11, 2025.
According to the revised guidelines of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), dated July 30, 2025, the applicants must provide a complete set of required documents.

These are: NEET-UG admit card and scorecard; proof of NRI status of parent/relative in the form of a passport, visa, residence/work permit, or OCI/PIO card; relationship certificate issued by competent revenue authority; and a notarized affidavit of the NRI sponsor declaring an undertaking to bear all the educational and living expenses.
The requirements further include 10th and 12th mark sheets, birth certificate, and optionally, the passport of the candidate or the sponsor.

MCC clarified that documents submitted in earlier counselling rounds will not be considered; candidates must send them afresh for the stray round.
All submissions must be done in one e-mail to [email protected] within the given time period. Emails sent before or after the deadline will not be accepted.
The notice emphasizes that once the candidate is allotted NRI status, they would not be eligible for any other reservation categories such as SC, ST, OBC, EWS, or minority quotas. Candidates are advised to regularly check www.mcc.nic.in for updates.
