NBEMS Updates Stipend Guidelines for Medical Institutions: 5% Hike for DNB Post-Diploma Candidates
New Delhi: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has revised the minimum stipend for trainees in medical institutions and accredited hospitals. The revised stipend structure will come into effect from June 1, 2025, the board announced. According to the NBEMS stipend guidelines, private and state government hospitals, as well as institutions under the railways, ESIC, central PSUs, central autonomous bodies, and the central government, are required to pay trainees at least the prescribed minimum stipend.
These rates are subject to periodic revision to ensure parity. NBEMS-accredited hospitals are permitted to offer stipends higher than the prescribed minimum.
“All other stipend-related guidelines and criteria will remain unchanged as per the existing NBEMS stipend policy,” the board stated in its latest notification.
