New Delhi: The NEET UG Counselling 2025 process will officially begin soon after the result is declared on 14th June, with the release of the list of Open and Closed States for state quota admissions. This crucial update will help medical aspirants understand where they are eligible to apply for private MBBS/BDS seats under state counselling, especially if they are seeking admission outside their home state. The classification into open and closed states is essential for candidates to plan their counselling strategy effectively and increase their chances of securing a seat in a reputed medical college.
What Are “Open” and “Closed” States?
- Open States allow non-domicile (out‑of‑state) eligible candidates to apply for private medical/dental seats under state counselling.
