The Uttar Pradesh government has released official guidelines for MBBS and BDS admissions for the academic session 2025-26 in both government and private medical/dental colleges across the state. The UP NEET 2025 counseling process will be conducted at 20 designated nodal centers.

Key Highlights of UP MBBS/BDS Admission 2025
- 85% of seats in government medical colleges are reserved for domicile candidates of Uttar Pradesh. Students from other states are eligible only for private and minority medical colleges.
- Admission will be based on NEET UG 2025 results and candidates must register online at the official portal: upneet.gov.in.
- The entire counseling process will be conducted with the technical support of NIC, Lucknow under the supervision of the Director of Medical Education.
Online Registration Details
- Candidates need to register on the UP NEET 2025 portal.
- Upload recent photograph, relevant documents and pay a non-refundable registration fee of ₹2,000.
- During registration, candidates must choose one of the 20 nodal centers for document verification.

Important Rules for UP Domicile Candidates
Candidates who completed both High School and Intermediate from UP do not need to submit a separate domicile certificate for government medical college admissions.

- ₹30,000 is required for government medical/dental colleges.
- ₹2,00,000 for private medical colleges.
- ₹1,00,000 for private dental colleges.
- If applying for both government and private colleges, candidates must deposit ₹2,00,000.
Refund & Counseling Guidelines
- Security money is refundable after the first counseling round if a candidate does not take admission.
- These students can re-appear in the second or third counseling round.
- For the second round, students who already participated or exited with fees paid will not need to pay again.
- Admission is mandatory in the second round, or the full amount will be forfeited.
- For government colleges, only admission fees will be deducted if a student exits after seat allotment.
- In private colleges, the tuition fee is refundable as per rules.
- After the third round, no candidate will be allowed to vacate their seat in government colleges.
