New Delhi: According to the latest data released by the National Board of Examinations (NBE), Tbilisi State Medical University has maintained its top position in the number of FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination) participants from Georgia for three consecutive years (2022–2024).
Grigol Robakidze University (GRUNI) School of Medicine secured the second position with consistent growth in participation numbers 367 in 2022, 619 in 2023, and 668 in 2024. Notably, both universities have shown a significant year-on-year rise, indicating their growing popularity among Indian medical aspirants.
Top 5 Universities by FMGE Participation (2024):

- Tbilisi State Medical University: 703 candidates
- Grigol Robakidze University (Gruni): 668 candidates
- Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University: 396 candidates
- European University Faculty: 420 candidates
- New Vision University: 284 candidates
European University showed a major jump from 66 candidates in 2022 to 420 in 2024, making it one of the most notable risers in the list. On the other hand, SEU, which had negligible participation earlier, reported a significant increase to 153 candidates in 2024.
