New Delhi: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha convened a high-level meeting on Friday to assess the state’s readiness for the upcoming NEET UG 2025 examination, scheduled for Sunday, May 4. The meeting, held at the Secretariat’s video conference hall, included key officials such as Chief Secretary JK Sinha, DGP (Intelligence) Anurag, Special Secretary of the Education Department Ravel Hemendra Kumar, and Home Secretary Apurba Roy.
The discussions focused on enhancing logistical operations and strengthening security measures at examination centers to ensure a smooth and secure testing environment. Officials confirmed that all exam centers have undergone thorough inspections, with District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police overseeing safety arrangements to prevent any disruptions.
According to an official press release, 4,892 students from Tripura are set to appear for the NEET UG 2025 exam. The examination will be conducted across 11 centers in the state—10 located in West Tripura district and one in Dhalai district. Notable centers in West Tripura include Maharaja Bir Bikram College, Bir Bikram Memorial College, Banividyapith Girls’ Higher Secondary School, and Kendriya Vidyalaya Kunjaban-I. In Dhalai district, the Kamalpur Government English Medium Higher Secondary School has been designated as the examination center.
Chief Minister Saha reiterated the government’s commitment to providing a secure and efficient examination environment for all aspiring medical students, emphasizing the importance of meticulous preparation and coordination among various departments.
