The Government of Uttar Pradesh has announced the addition of 950 new MBBS seats for the 2025-26 academic year. This move marks a major milestone in the state’s effort to strengthen its healthcare and medical education system.
Of the total, 200 seats have been added in government medical colleges, while 750 seats are being introduced in private medical institutions. With these additions, the total MBBS intake in Uttar Pradesh has reached around 12,800 seats, significantly improving the chances for NEET UG aspirants.
Colleges Receiving New MBBS Seats
- Autonomous State Medical College, Amethi: 100 MBBS seats added.
- ESIC Medical College, Noida: 50 MBBS seats added.
- ESIC Medical College, Varanasi: 50 MBBS seats added.
This seat expansion is expected to enhance medical accessibility and produce more trained doctors for underserved regions of the state.
