Dehradun: The Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University (HNBUMU) has released the schedule for Uttarakhand NEET UG 2025 Round 2 Counselling for MBBS and BDS courses. Eligible NEET UG 2025 candidates can now register online through the official website- www.hnbumu.ac.in.

The counselling is open for all eligible candidates as per NMC/DCI and Government of Uttarakhand norms, including those who registered in Round 1 but were not allotted a seat.

1. Eligibility for Round 2 Counselling
- Candidates who did not register in Round 1 can register fresh for Round 2.
- Candidates who registered in Round 1 but did not get a seat can participate in Round 2.
- Candidates who got a seat in Round 1 and took admission can also participate for seat upgradation.
- Candidates who were allotted a seat in Round 1 but did not join are also eligible for Round 2.
- Candidates who registered in Round 1 but don’t wish to continue in Round 2 need not re-register.
2. Registration & Application (Online Only)
- Registration fee and security fee must be paid online only (Credit/Debit Card/Net Banking).
- Fresh applicants must register again on www.hnbumu.ac.in.
- If you already paid both fees in Round 1, you don’t need to pay again, only refill the choice filling form.
- If only registration fee was paid in Round 1 (but not security fee), then pay the remaining security fee in Round 2.
- If a higher/lower category or institution is chosen in Round 2, any excess security deposit is refundable after one month of counselling.
3. Choice Filling & Locking
- After registration, candidates must fill, update, and lock their choices within the given dates.
- If choices are not locked manually, the system will auto-lock them.
- Locked choices are final; no changes allowed after submission.
4. Seat Allotment
- Allotment will be based on merit, eligibility, and locked choices.
- Institutions’ fee structures are uploaded on the university website. Candidates should confirm course fees, rules, and recognition status with the concerned college before locking their choices.
- The counselling board is not responsible for disputes between student and college.
5. Seat Upgradation
- Candidates admitted in Round 1 are eligible for upgradation in Round 2.
- If a seat is upgraded, the earlier seat is automatically cancelled.
- If no upgradation happens, the earlier Round 1 seat remains valid.
6. Seat Surrender / Withdrawal
- Seats allotted in Round 1 can be surrendered till 16th Sept 2025, 5:00 PM only.
- After this deadline, no surrender is allowed.
- If a candidate doesn’t join after allotment, the security deposit will be forfeited as per rules.
7. Reservation
- Reservation will follow Uttarakhand Government policies.
- Benefits of reserved categories are only for domicile candidates of Uttarakhand with valid certificates.
- OBC certificate must be valid and issued within 3 years.
- Wards of defense personnel can avail reservation as per government orders.
- For PwD, a valid certificate from a recognized Medical Board is mandatory.
8. Admission Process
- After allotment, candidates must report to the allotted college in person with original documents.
- If a candidate fails to report within the deadline, admission will be cancelled.
