Jodhpur: The Rajasthan High Court at Jodhpur has issued an interim stay on the operation and effect of the Medical Education Department’s order dated October 18, 2025, relating to fee regulation for private medical colleges in the state. The stay was granted by Hon’ble Justice Sunil Beniwal while hearing a writ petition (No. 21160/2025) filed by American International Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Udaipur, and its parent organisation, American International Health Management Ltd.
The petition, represented by Senior Advocate M.S. Singhvi assisted by Akhilesh Rajpurohit, challenged the state’s recent directive concerning fee structure changes. The court issued notices to the State Government, Deputy Secretary (Medical Education), State Level Fee Regulatory Committee, and the Rajasthan NEET UG Medical & Dental Admission Counselling Board 2025.

The High Court ordered that until the next hearing, the 18 October 2025 order will remain stayed, ensuring that any admissions or fee collections under the interim relief will be subject to the final outcome of the case.
This development brings temporary relief to the private medical institution and may influence ongoing NEET UG 2025 counselling and admission procedures in Rajasthan, especially for colleges affected by recent government fee regulations.
