Puducherry: The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC), which is part of the Government of Puducherry’s Directorate of Higher and Technical Education, has announced in a new notice that the NEET UG 2025 Round 3 counselling deadlines have been extended.
Until October 13, 2025, at 5:00 p.m., candidates are now free to submit form, course preferences, and payment of registration fee.
The extension brings relief to aspirants who were having a tough time meeting the earlier deadlines.

CENTAC authorities have verified that the decision was made in conjunction with the revised MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) schedule for All India Quota (AIQ), Deemed/Central Universities, and AIIMS/JIPMER campuses, with a view to having alignment between national and state-level admission schedules.

Join NEET News 2025 Withdrawal and Resignation Options
CENTAC has also enabled candidates who have been allotted a seat in Round 1 or Round 2 to withdraw or resign the seat by sending a Resignation Request Letter through their candidate login portal prior to October 13, 2025, 5:00 p.m.
The flexibility is intended to prevent students from losing fees or being disqualified from future rounds.
Revised MCC Schedule for AIQ, Deemed, and Central Universities
As per the revised MCC notice, the Round 3 procedure will be carried out as follows:
- Locking and choice filling: October 10 to 11, 2025
- Processing of allotment of seats: October 11, 2025
- Publication of result: October 12, 2025
- Reporting to allotted institutes: October 13 to 21, 2025
- Verification of joined candidates: October 22, 2025
This schedule is for all AIQ seats, Deemed Universities, AIIMS, JIPMER (Puducherry & Karaikal), and Central Universities.

Stray Vacancy Round for AIQ Seats
The Stray Vacancy Round for AIQ seats will be conducted from October 24 to 31, 2025.
- Registration & payment: October 23-24, 2025
- Choice filling: October 25-26, 2025
- Seat allotment processing: October 27-28, 2025
- Result publication: October 29, 2025
- Reporting to institutes: October 30-31, 2025
- Verification and data sharing: Up to November 3, 2025
Updated State Counselling Schedule
For state-level counselling, Round 3 will be held from September 29 to October 11, 2025, followed by verification on October 22.
The Stray Vacancy Round runs from October 24 to 31, with the final joining date on November 4, and the academic session starting November 12, 2025.
