MBBS/BDS	Candidates seeking admission to the MBBS/BDS Degree courses must have passed the H.Sc (Academic) examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu or any other equivalent to it, with a minimum of 50% marks (40% for OBC/BCM/MBC/EBC/BT/SC/ST candidates) in aggregate, in the prescribed subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Biotechnology, Botany and Zoology. They should also have studied and passed English and all four subjects individually.
BAMS	Candidates must have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before 31 December of their admission year. Age Limit: General (UR)/EWS & SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD candidates must be born on or before 31.12.2004 (upper age limit 25 years as of exam date, with a 5-year relaxation for SC/ST/OBC-NCL and PwD candidates). Indian Citizens/OCI intending to pursue Undergraduate Medical Courses abroad also need to qualify NEET (UG).
B.V.Sc. & A.H.	Candidates must have passed the H.Sc. (Academic) examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu or equivalent, with a minimum of 50% marks (40% for OBC/BCM/MBC/EBC/BT/SC/ST candidates) in aggregate in Biology/Botany & Zoology, Physics and Chemistry.

How to Register for CENTAC Puducherry NEET Counselling 2026

Candidates applying for MBBS/BDS/BAMS/B.V.Sc & A.H. admission through CENTAC must follow these steps:

1. Visit the official CENTAC UG NEET portal at centacpuducherry.in.
2. Register using a valid mobile number, email ID, and NEET UG 2026 Roll Number; set a password (an OTP is sent to the registered mobile for every login).
3. Fill in personal information – name, contact details, category, and region (Puducherry/Karaikal/Mahe/Yanam).
4. Enter academic details, including HSC marks and NEET UG 2026 scorecard details.
5. Upload the required scanned documents (see the documents list below).
6. Pay the applicable registration/application fee online (Net Banking, Cards, UPI or BQR).
7. Submit the application and retain a copy for reference; download and print the confirmation page.

Forfeiture of Registration Fee/Tuition Fee

Here in this section, we provide detailed information about Centac Puducherry NEET Forfeiture of Registration Fee/Tuition Fee terms & conditions:

• After the publication of the Final allotment list in the 2nd round, if any candidate fails to join the college, the registration fee mentioned above will be forfeited.
• During mop-up counselling, seats will be allotted only after the tuition is paid, preferably through DD (Demand Draft) or RTGS/NEFT. If the student fails to join the allotted college after mop-up counselling, Rs.1,00,000/- will be forfeited. The tuition fee will be forfeited if the college cannot fill the seat from the 1:10 list sponsored by CENTAC.
• The remaining amount, where the college can fill the seat, will be refunded after six months, which is a deterrent for blocking the seat. Candidates are advised to make a thoughtful decision before taking a seat in mop-up counselling. CENTAC reserves the right to modify these guidelines depending upon necessity.

Refund of Registration Fee/Tuition Fee

• If the candidate is not allotted any seat during the 2nd Round and Mop-Up Round, the Registration Fees / Tuition Fees will be refunded to the same account from which payment was made.
• Candidates should keep their card/bank account active until the refund process is completed, and should not use unrelated accounts for remitting fees.
• Per RBI Rules, a refund cannot be done to NRI Accounts. Candidates using an NRI Account must first transfer funds to an NRO Account, and from there to the CENTAC Account. Refunds from CENTAC will be credited to the NRO Account only.

Special Note to Students who have been allotted seats in JIPMER

• It is observed that some students who get MBBS seats in JIPMER do not opt out and unnecessarily block the seat assigned in CENTAC, causing unwarranted sliding. CENTAC obtains the list of candidates allotted seats in JIPMER, and these candidates will not be allocated any seats despite their eligibility. A candidate who wants their name reconsidered must deposit Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh only) as a Cautionary Deposit, which will be forfeited if the candidate is allotted a seat by CENTAC and fails to join within the prescribed date.
• Special Note to NRI / NRI Sponsored / OCI Students Category for B.D.S. Course (5 seats): Five seats are reserved under the NRI/NRI Sponsored/OCI category for candidates seeking admission to the first-year B.D.S. degree course at Mahatma Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Dental Sciences, Puducherry.

Candidates willing to apply under NRI / NRI Sponsored /OCI category can submit their application to CENTAC with the following enclosures:

• Birth Certificate / Proof of Date of Birth
• Higher Secondary (10+2) or Equivalent Examination Mark Sheet
• Transfer Certificate / Migration Certificate issued by the Head of the Institution/University last studied
• Conduct Certificate issued by the Head of the Institution last studied
• NEET Score sheet
• Medical Fitness Certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner not below the rank of a Government Assistant Surgeon
• Nativity Certificate of the candidate
• Self-attested photocopies of: NRI status certificate of the Financial Sponsor issued by the respective country’s Embassy; NRI/NRE Bank Account Pass Book/Account Statement (first page and last three months’ transactions); copy of valid Visa/OCI/PR status and Passport of the Financial Sponsor; and a notarised affidavit by the financial sponsor (format on the website)

The selected candidate should submit the above certificates/documents to the Institute at admission.

• All documents are mandatory for registering NRI/NRI Sponsored/OCI candidates with Pondicherry University and for Institute records.
• Selected candidates should pay the prescribed fee within seven days of selection.
• Candidates should follow the institute’s website notifications for the date of registration, orientation and commencement of classes.
• Only NRI candidates, wards of NRI parents, or candidates born outside India and currently holding a foreign passport are eligible under this category. Selection is based on NEET scores through CENTAC. Vacant seats are filled from the self-supporting quota strictly on merit, per norms.

Admission to the “Government Quota Seats” in Private and Unaided Professional colleges and Minority Colleges will be per the Government of India’s laws/regulations/orders of the Government of Puducherry.
