Raipur: The Directorate of Medical Education, Chhattisgarh (CGDME) has released the revised schedule for Round 3 counselling of NEET UG 2025 for MBBS and BDS courses. The notice covers online registration, choice filling, ineligible candidate list, and upgradation rules.
Importantly, 100 new MBBS seats have been added at the Shri Rawatpura Sarkar Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (SRIMSR), Naya Raipur, following approval from the National Medical Commission (NMC).
Revised Round 3 Counselling Schedule (MBBS/BDS)
- Online Registration & Application: 10 October 2025 (2:00 PM) to 13 October 2025 (11:59 PM)
- Choice Filling & Locking: 10 October 2025 (2:00 PM) to 14 October 2025 (4:00 PM)
- Merit List & Allotment: Dates to follow as per DME portal updates
- Reporting: Candidates must report in person at allotted colleges for document verification as per instructions on www.cgdme.in and cgdme.admissions.nic.in.
Ineligible Candidates for Round 3
According to CGDME, the following categories are not eligible to participate in the Round 3 counselling:

- Candidates already admitted to Government Medical Colleges.
- Candidates allotted seats in Government colleges but did not report.

Upgradation Rules for Round 3
The Directorate has introduced specific upgradation provisions:
- Private-to-private medical college upgradation is now allowed, following the addition of 100 MBBS seats at SRIMSR, Naya Raipur.
- Upgradation from Private Dental to Government or Private Dental Colleges and from Dental to Medical Colleges will continue as per existing rules.
- No upgradation will be allowed for candidates already admitted to Government Medical Colleges.
Additionally, conversion of reserved seats will be carried out to maximize seat utilization. Any remaining Government quota seats after conversion will shift to Management Quota, as per Rule 9 of Chhattisgarh Chikitsa, Dant Chikitsa Evam Bhautik Chikitsa (Physiotherapy) Snatak Pravesh Niyam 2025.
NMC Grants Conditional Approval for 100 MBBS Seats at SRIMSR
In a parallel development, the National Medical Commission (NMC) issued a conditional renewal approval for 100 MBBS seats at Shri Rawatpura Sarkar Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Raipur for the academic year 2025-26.
The decision followed a review of deficiencies observed during inspections and subsequent directions from the Delhi High Court. As per NMC’s official order dated 26 September 2025, the college is permitted to admit students against 100 approved MBBS seats, subject to compliance improvements within three months.

“The inclusion of 100 MBBS seats at SRIMSR Raipur marks an important step toward expanding medical education capacity in Chhattisgarh. We encourage all eligible NEET UG candidates to participate actively in this round and ensure accurate choice locking within the scheduled period.”
