Lucknow: The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training, Uttar Pradesh (DGME UP), has released an important notification for candidates participating in the UP NEET UG 2025 counselling. The circular outlines key rules, fees, and eligibility conditions for admission under the state quota in medical and dental colleges across Uttar Pradesh.
Key Highlights:
- New Registration Mandatory:
Only candidates who have qualified NEET UG 2025 are eligible to apply. Those already admitted, resigned, or not reported after allotment in previous sessions will not be allowed to participate. - Registration Fee:
All applicants must pay a non-refundable registration fee of ₹2,000 online. - Security Money:
Candidates must deposit refundable security money according to their category:- Government Medical/Dental Colleges: ₹30,000
- Private Medical Colleges: ₹2,00,000
- Private Dental Colleges: ₹1,00,000
- Documents Required:
Candidates must upload valid certificates such as:- NEET scorecard and admit card
- Caste and category certificates (OBC, SC, ST, EWS, PwD, etc.)
- Domicile certificate (for UP residents)
- High school, intermediate marksheets, and other relevant documents
- Income Certificate Validity:
The annual income certificate for reserved categories (OBC, SC, ST, EWS, etc.) must be issued on or after April 1, 2025. - Reservation & Domicile:
Reservation benefits will be granted only to those with valid UP domicile and category certificates verified by competent authorities. - Debarment Notice:
Candidates who previously took admission and did not resign through proper procedure will be debarred from UP NEET counselling 2025.
UP NEET UG 2025 Eligibility and Reservation
Only candidates who are domicile residents of Uttar Pradesh will be eligible for state quota seats. Reservation benefits will apply strictly as per the latest government norms. Any incorrect or outdated certificate may lead to disqualification.
Important Rules for Candidates
- Candidates admitted in earlier NEET sessions (2022–2024) and who did not resign properly are barred from participating in UP NEET 2025 counselling.
- Those applying for both government and private college seats must pay the combined security amount.
- The DGME has clearly stated that no offline applications will be accepted.
The DGME has advised candidates to read all instructions carefully and complete their registration within the stipulated time to avoid disqualification.
